Saw this on the big screen and was blown away by it. It’s my favorite Terry Gilliam film. The acting is impeccable ( Amanda Plummer steals every scene ) the art direction and production design are fantastic. The storyline and dialogue are captivating. I think this film slips under a lot of people’s radar considering the performances by Jeff Bridges and Robin Williams are on the level of career best.

This movie, _The Fisher King_ and _Talk Radio_ feature protagonists that are shallow on-air caricatures of the Howard Stern phenomenon in the '80s. Jeff Bridges' character even needs to quit radio to become likeable.

Best scene in the movie, which would have been improved by a little less Robin Williams, maybe a controversial opinion though.

Genius! This reminds me of those Warner Brothers cartoons where someone walks out onto thin air but won't fall until he NOTICES there's nothing holding him up!

Sometimes silent films are best seen / heard with NO soundtrack! Sometimes soundtracks can be too clever, too cute, too noisy... too distracting to the viewer. Walk 3.33 in a deaf person's shoes and enjoy Buster pure and simple. Subtle is good too.

That's hilarious. His (very real) stunts are always so much more impactful than the CGI crutch everyone relies on today. Not saying actors and stuntmen _should_ risk their lives if they don't have to, but it definitely changes how you view a film.
